37 weeks
Three weeks to go and not much to report except I think I am finally getting anxious to meet this baby girl! I have no real physical complaints - I'm about as comfortable as a nine months pregnant lady can be, but I am starting to dream about wearing "real" clothes and being able to drink a margarita :) We've been trying to get things taken care of around here - we're stocked up on TP, just took the kids to the dentist, had their year pictures taken, and I'm trying to clean/organize as much as possible since it might be months before I have the time/energy to take care of any of this stuff. We have two more busy weeks of doctor's appointments and birthday parties (whose idea was it to have all the babies in November anyway??) and then after all that is done, Baby Girl is welcome to show up :)

(almost) perfect
I've finally found the perfect crib bedding for the baby's room to tie in the blue and yellow and a dash of pink without being too pastel-y or princess-y...now if I only I could locate that Money Tree. It's got to be around here somewhere...

girls!
So we're still processing the fact that we will have GIRLS (plural)! I have started thinking about their rooms and I have to admit I'm having a whole lot of fun. I mentioned before that I was thinking about moving Ella into the guest room and turning her room into the nursery but I have decided that is much too traumatic and not really all that necessary now that we know we're having a girl. And Matt is relieved because I'm not making him paint anything :)
I think I have found everything for Ella's new big girl room and I should be able to switch things over fairly painlessly. We are ordering her a new bed (she's in a toddler bed now and we will need the mattress for the crib soon), a tall dresser (not a lot of floor space in her room), and new bedding (but I found stuff that matches her paint color and her curtains). These pictures give you an idea...but her wall color is green, not pink, and the comforter will be the stripes you see in the pictures, not the flowers.
For the nursery, the wall color is a goldeny-yellow and our crib is light blue (that's what you get for having a boy first!). I picked up a dresser from Ikea last time I was there but it needs to be assembled - not something I'm looking forward to. Still looking for some inspiration in that room to pull it all together. Ignore the screaming baby below (isn't he cute though?) - it's the only picture of the crib I could find - and imagine a straw yellow on the walls. Let me know if you have any ideas!

IT'S A...
GIRL!!We are very excited and more than a little surprised! We just always imagined we'd have a bundle of boys for some reason and now we're processing the fact that there is another girl in our future. Actual conversation from our ultrasound today:
Ultrasound technician: You can see here, it's a girl.
Matt: Oh! There's no weiner there, is there?
Ultrasound technician: Nope!
We are thrilled to have another daughter in our lives, although Matt is terrified at the thought of paying for two weddings (he took the afternoon off after the ultrasound and afterwards he said half kidding, "Well, I better get back to work and start making some more money.")
Right after we found out, however, I pretty much daydreamed through the rest of the ultrasound and it all made sense to me in my head...I think we might already have a name picked out and I thought, "Oh, of course, it's...[insert name; and no, you can't know yet!]
So now I have 20 weeks to plan and prepare and I'm more than a little excited to shop for little girls dresses and pull Ella's clothes out of storage bins. The boys are officially outnumbered!

#3
I realized that I've hardly mentioned Baby #3 since announcing our pregnancy on my blog. There's not too much to report, but here's a little update. I am 17 weeks today. The morning/all day long sickness started wearing off around 14 weeks and I am very grateful for that. Since then, the weeks have flown by. I think I have felt a few little kicks but its always hard to tell this early on. It took me a long time to feel Ella kick (after 20 weeks sometime...yes, I was totally freaked out) so I'm not really sure what to expect with this one. I had to pull out the maternity shirts last week and I'm thinking about the pregger pants too (if you haven't seen me lately, here's a tidbit...my neighbor asked me the other night if I had about three more months to go...how about FIVE more?!) We have our ultrasound scheduled for July 2, and I cannot wait to find out if we're having a baby boy or a baby girl. We haven't talked about names too much yet because I like to wait until we find out the gender...cuts the amount of brain power I need to use in half. I fully expect to go into full nesting mode at that point since I'm also waiting to start thinking about Baby's room. Still trying to decide if I'm going to turn our spare bedroom into the nursery or move Ella to the spare bedroom and turn her old room into the nursery (she'll probably stay if we're having a girl but move if it's a boy...its all very complicated...we can discuss it over an iced coffee sometime if you'd like). Anyway, I think that's all for now. Did I miss anything?

official blog announcement!

I'm not really sure why it took me so long to post these pictures. Blame it on the fact that I'm 11 weeks pregnant??If you haven't heard the news yet, here you go - "official" blog announcement. Nothing is really real unless it's been posted on the blog, after all.
I went for broke this time and ordered the kids these shirts off of Etsy because I couldn't resist. We brought the kids over to my parents' house in them and my mom just about fell over. The great part is that Dylan's shirt makes sense on its own, but when you throw Ella in the mix people slowly start to catch on.
Next big item...I am due November 17. For those of you paying attention at home, yes, our other two kids' birthdays are also in November (and um, yeah, Matt's is too if you want to get technical). We have in fact realized that we seem to have some sort of "problem" regarding the month of November (or the month of February, depending on how you want to look at it). My due date for Dylan was actually November 17 too, and he was born on the November 13...which was Ella's due date. I realize this makes us pretty weird at this point, but I'm just going to go ahead and embrace it. Plus, I think it allows more attention to be given during my birthday week since I don't have to share the limelight with anyone else :).
I think that's it for now. Feeling OK, but hoping to feel a lot better in the next couple of weeks. My personal mom hunch is that it's a boy, but it really doesn't make a difference to us either way. We will definitely try to find out gender at 20 weeks - sometime around the beginning of July. We realize #3 is going to make our already crazy life even crazier, but we're taking the plunge...if we survive the next year we should be in good shape after that :).
